I did waver on Solforge, and ended up passing on it. Or maybe it'll be like Solforge and start to look like it's never going to launch as what was promised and will instead be downgraded to a casual card game instead of a competitive environment. Sinking $120 into this game without knowing if it'll last 6 months of three years is scary.

Even the ones that stuck around were not necessarily games I could have predicted would stick around. But I've been involved in several amazing sounding digital card games. It's not that Hex doesn't sound amazing it does. Well, this is precisely why I waver so hard on Hex. Even though a employee was updating it in his spare time, really killed any urge I had to buy more product.

Liked playing it, but the Mac version came out like a month or two before they got bought out by Sony, and then it got discontinued. I'm still a little bitter/sad about Star Chamber. I eventually fell out because I couldn't afford to be truly competitive, though. They were so excited at new blood that they threw tons of their spare commons at me to get me started. Artificial scarcity crap, it's not like I'll use more than one deck at a time anyway. That, and cards being locked to existing in one deck at a time. Yeah, the lack of trading is why I don't want to spend any actual money on Duel of Champions.
